My newest project

This is the fabric I picked out for Lucy and Daisy's bed quilts. It kind of hard to see, but the floral print one is ruffled. Super cute, huh? I think I'm getting the hang of this sewing thing... at least this particular thing is easy enough for me and I really like how it's turning out. I've just got a couple more strips, then this one I need a border, then binding, and then the same thing over again :)

  1. I LOVE THIS! The ruffle rules. Then, onto pillows, right? ;)

You need to come look at Great Grandma's table and see if it will work as a sewing table.

  2. Cami, I started making quilts when my children were little. I did it because we were in Utah and it's cold up there. But I always tried to make them beautiful--or at least nice looking. Until after I retired, that was the end of my quilt-making. Just before I retired in 2009, I discovered that my darling granddaughter was going to make me a great grandmother, and the first thing that popped into my head was I HAVE TO MAKE A QUILT.

Please know that there is help all over the place. From what I am seeing, you might be a real source for your friends and family because not only are you learning a wonderful skill, but you have the eye of an artist. There is so much to learn and so many beautiful things to make!

    HAVE FUN!!
