Swimming Day!

We went over to the Payson Pool today and it was really awesome! We went with Jenna, Mia and Owen and they loved it. The kid area is fun and the slides are cool (except Boyd was just a little too short to go on) and it wasn't very crowded. The only one not so sure was Daisy- she cried for about the first hour, then it was just ok as long as one of us was holding her. Good thing she's such a cutie. Silly me forgot the camera, so I just used my iphone, hope they aren't too terrible. We ended up staying for a few hours until it started raining. I think we'll definitely go again and hope Daisy's in a better mood.

Last week

Last week Ken and I celebrated our 8 year anniversary! Woohoo! Its definitely weird how the time goes- it went by so fast, but then I can't really remember what its like not being married either. We went to Disneyland on our honeymoon and we look like a couple of skinny little 12 year olds here! Just crazy, but I'm so glad we are together and have our awesome family! Love you, Ken!

We also celebrated Father's Day on Sunday by going up to visit my Dad for a BBQ, then heading over to the Martin's for second dinner. We didn't do a whole lot for Ken this year. Between Mother's Day, Ken's Birthday, Our anniversary, and Father's Day- those holidays sort of get smooshed together in a month. We still love him and appreciate all his hard work (I won't get too mushy on here :)

I have a funny story, too. When Ken and I were dating and engaged, we went to visit my dad several times and help work on his yard and make an arbor. He had a little Shih-tzu dog named Ewok (Wokkers) and my dad would talk kind of baby talk to her, but then also include us. Like, "Should we go outside now, Wokkers? Huh, should Ken dig a hole now, Wokkers?" We would try not to laugh and Ken wasn't really sure how to respond because pretty much all of our conversations were like that. As socially awkward as my dad is sometimes, he often surprises me when I need something or ask for advice, he comes up with just the right thing to say including scriptures, quotes and explanations right on the fly.

For Owen

And because I'm insane! This is a follow up to Jenna's blog about she and Owen posing Cinderella in an un-girly fashion. Lucy helped me with the accessories, and Boyd was just plain mad at me for defiling his man toys, but he cheered right up when I let him take some of the pictures.

Lucy made her name out of playdoh all by herself today. I think she did a good job, smart girl! Daisy is growing so big, she's so cute! I sure love these cute, smart kids!

Yard Sprinklers

Even though it was pretty overcast yesterday, it was just warm enough to turn on the AC and bring out the sprinklers! Its finally summer! Boyd got himself soaked right away, but Lucy would just stand close enough to get her hands wet. I didn't get Daisy's suit on for some reason I though she wouldn't like getting in the sprinklers. Silly mom, Daisy's a big girl now- just ask her and she will nod. Daisy walks right into the sprinkler and stands there with the water going right into her face, then she cried after a while because of wet clothes, so I let her go naked for a while. I think this will probably be a daily occurrence this summer and maybe I'll even join in the fun, too!

Memorial Day and Stuff

On Memorial Day the kids and I took a quick trip over to the American Fork Cemetery to meet up with rest of my family. We had a nice little visit and the cousins got to play together and grandpa gave them a ride in his cool car.

Since Ken had to work on Monday, he took Tuesday off and we just had a fun family day out to lunch, park, and a movie (Shrek 4). We've got a bunch of silly kids I'd say!
