Lucy

Lucy is such a funny kid! Very sweet, very weird, and very dramatic.

She loves to pull faces at us just to make us laugh. She also loves to sing- mostly made up songs or her own version of a real song. One of her favorites is "buff-why" (butterfly) song that includes a swaying dance.

Part of her tantrums (about every 5 minutes) includes a full body flop, face down with a very high-pitched scream that hurts your brain. This one is about the clothes I put her in- she wanted to wear green "nammies" (pajamas) instead of her cute new clothes. She was totally fine after about 1 minute, back to doing her other weird things, like stacking washcloths on the cats. The cats actually like Lucy's attention for some reason.

Lucy isn't quite sure how she feels about her new baby sister. She loves the baby stuff, the diapers, small socks, and blankies, but she knows some important mommy time is being taken away from her. Sometimes she kisses "Baby Saisy" and once in a while likes to hold her, but mostly she tells me to "put it in crib now" or "go put her away," or just simply pretends Daisy isn't here and tries to trample across her.

One of the sweetest things Lucy does is give tiny, pointy lip kisses, thoroughly thought out. She never misses a "Cug and Tiss" before daddy leaves and is so enthusiastic about his coming home as well- she squeals and shouts like crazy. Lucy also loves her big brother, tries so hard to be his boss, and is very often sweet to play and share with him.

  1. She's such a drama queen. I can't believe how big she is getting. It seems like she was a baby just yesterday.

  2. I know it! Good thing she's such a cutie. And then our little Daisy will be a big kid before too long, too.
