Cute blog!

My sweet boy!
My sweet girls!

I mean what a cute little family! I finally got a picture to get on here- I'm so happy! Its funny that this is the very best picture of the 5 of us together. We've got a couple of uncooperative little monkeys that think picture time is torture or something. Even though both Boyd and Lucy have some very darling photos of them separately, for whatever reason they won't do a group photo without a fight... and they pretty much win those battles.
Daisy started smiling a little bit for real now. A couple of times she has actually looked me in the eyes and gave me a sweet little gummy grin. Its so exciting for her to start being aware a little more. She's really a sweet little baby girl- no longer a newborn. Which is good because she's starting to have a more predictable schedule and she has been getting up in the night only 1 time for a feeding. Woohoo, that is totally do-able for me to feel kind of normal during the day. I actually put on make-up and did my hair and stuff. But, don't expect too much out of me yet (Ken), I still have to work up to dinner and a clean house. One thing at a time, right? At least I'm feeling better and my baby smiles at me.

Simpsons

Ken and I have been watching some early episodes of the Simpsons lately. I have forgotten how funny that show used to be. Ken said that we have a Simpson family now- a boy and 2 girls. One of my favorite lines from Homer is, "Oh I have 3 kids and no money, I wish I had no kids and 3 money." Hits close to home- lol! In one of the episodes the other night, Homer was putting the kids to bed. He cheered up Bart about a kid at school, went to Lisa and had a nice lovey moment, then went to give the binky back to stop a crying Maggie. He then told Marge, "we better just go to bed, I'm on the biggest roll of my life."

Sometimes I feel just like that when we have a good day at home with happy kids, and we have some sweet moments together. I feel especially good when Boyd has a happy day- he's always had the hardest time with life in general. We have so many frustrating times and fits (they are BIG!), and we have always had to work the hardest to get a smile or laugh out of him since he was little. If Boyd only knew his secret weapon- his incredibly handsome, sweet dimpley smile that works every time to melt our hearts. Boyd can just about bring us to tears of joy when he's happy. So, when I'm especially patient and on top of my game as a parent, I feel satisfied to say I'm on the biggest roll of my life!

Then there are other days... 3 screaming kids at once is enough to send a parent into crazy land!

Some funny kid moments:

The other day I bought a kitchen timer for Boyd to try it out for working on transitioning between activities better, especially getting off the Wii. When the timer first rang, Boyd said, "the cookies are done!" So he didn't quite get the point of it at first, but that was pretty cute.

I bought Lucy some pullups for potty training. When I showed her she said, "Ah pink diapes- I'm so happy! Mom love Sucy! (Lucy)"

Still figuring it out

So I don't really know why this page won't let me add photos right now. I've been trying to for days, because mostly people want to see pictures on blogs. Every time I push the "add image" button, the timer thing just goes and goes and never gets there to the right page. Maybe I'm just doing something wrong- I don't know. I'm not computer savvy at all, I always have Ken take care of anything computery when it doesn't do what its supposed to do. Usually its something that any dumb person can figure out- so, yes, I just called myself less than dumb, but its often true. I have been blaming it on the slow internet connection. Ken's in the process of replacing all the cables in our house, so hopefully that will take care of it whenever he finishes that project.

Well, anyway... on to a new subject- funny kids. My 2 year old, Lucy says the weirdest things. One of the new funny things she says when I nurse the baby is, "Baby eat the boobie now." The other night my nephew Owen told her, "well usually milk comes out." 4 year old Boyd can usually care less about these things, but when I say I'm feeding the baby, he calls it "Baby bites the tummy." It is quite entertaining those kids' take on breastfeeding.

Some other favorite sayings:

Lucy- "sock pants"= tights. "Poopy sound"= passing gas and "frog sounds"= burps.

Boyd- "Stuck butt one"= A Mariokart game. When messing up on a video game he says, "It hurts my bum!"

Kenami

Finally I'm starting a blog- all the cool kids have one, right? So, obviously "Kenami" is a mix of our names, but it was actually started by Mia when she was about 2. She couldn't say Ken and Cami for the life of her- it always came out Kenami. We thought that was so cute, so we adopted the name for our little family. I mean big family now... its still weird that we have 3 kids! When did that happen?
