Lucy was so excited to go to her own class. I signed her up for beginning dance through the Payson community center. Its in this cool old building that used to be a school, now its a museum. She did pretty well with her first day of class, but had a couple of breakdowns and tears when the teacher singled her out to do something a certain way or wait her turn. The other girls had already been going to this class since the fall, so Lucy has a little catching up on how to follow a teacher and do what she is told. But, she is awfully cute in her little ballet clothes and black shoes (she was just dying for some pink ones, but they have to be black). I think she'll get the hang of it pretty soon. I think I will even practice with her at home during the week. I might be a little excited for her dance class, I just love everything about it!

New Year
I totally wasn't going to share my resolutions, I guess because I'm shy like that, but I keep feeling like I better write them down anyway.
1. Help my kids with their learning, specifically Boyd. I'm going to attempt the library again (he used to have the biggest tantrums even setting foot in that place). I have to remember that he is a different kid and needs to try new things and have fun with books. We started reading again before bed, now I would like to grow on that.
2. Cook regular meals. I want to finally try some new recipes and enjoy cooking good, healthy meals for my family. As part of it also, I want to keep my food budget under control, so I am signing up for a grocery smarts class soon.
3. Keep my new home nice and clean. Its easy for me to let the kids take over, but I'm determined to keep up a little better, so I don't get overwhelmed.
4. Have some craft time for myself. I want to focus on learning to sew and get some fun things made.
I am open for any ideas, advice, suggestions, or help on how to get some of these things done.
