Our New Nephew!

On Tuesday, we got a new nephew- Eli Terry! The kids were just beside themselves in anticipation. Even when Boyd was getting ready he picked out his own shirt and said, "Baby He-Why (Eli) will like this shirt." We visited Jojo during labor for a few minutes and Boyd told her her tummy needs to crack like an egg to get the baby out- that's close enough. We came back to hospital just right after Eli was born. Joni did a great job getting him here with only a few pushes- doesn't she look too good to just have had a baby? What a cute little family!

Boyd and Lucy couldn't wait to get to hold the baby! Boyd got a turn, then Lucy, then Daisy started climbing up on the chair herself yelling, "Baby! Baby!" She needed a turn, too! She was so sweet wanting to kiss little Eli and say "Awww." Its so amazing that we were there just over a year ago with Daisy being born and she changed so much into a big kid! We're so excited to meet Eli and can't wait to see him again!

I drew Lucy a lamb for her to color and glue puff balls onto. She wanted to draw her own baby lamb next to it. I love it! Isn't it way cute?

Happy Mother's Day!

I think I have yet to make it through a Mother's Day without crying. There are just too many emotions going on that day and someone always has a talk in church that gets to me. We went to put flowers on my mom's grave Saturday night and this year I had to explain that to the kids. They didn't know what a cemetery was, Lucy said, "Is this a fun place?" Not usually, babe, but there are a lot of pretty flowers. She's so cute!

It is pretty sweet to have kids old enough to make things and get so excited to show me (I don't know how to turn photos the right way, sorry). I'm so glad to be a mom of 3 awesome kids- they are so funny, sweet, unique, and they amaze me everyday! It was a good time for me to remember to appreciate being a mom as well as appreciate my mom and all the women who inspire me!

This is why everyone should have an iphone- so little girls can watch shows together. Why is Daisy such a big kid now?

Boyd's Art

Just very recently, Boyd has been able to write his name by himself. He is very proud of it! Boyd also drew a self portrait. He knew his "Y" wasn't quite right in his first picture and he just said, "I need to try that again," without any fuss. Even 6 months ago, he would have completely flipped out, or more likely not even try to write or draw anything if he knew it wouldn't be just right. We are so proud of our big boy!

Daisy colors

Daisy wants to be a big girls so bad! She just throws a giant fit if she doesn't get to do what the other kids do. Lucy draws and colors all the time, so Daisy gets to color now, too! She's sitting in a regular seat with markers like Lucy and concentrating very hard on her creation.
