Pretty leaves

We decided last minute to go up to Provo Canyon to see the changing leaves on Saturday. It was really nice weather and we had a great time. Someday I hope we can have a really good family picture, but no such luck yet. I think it is the law of the universe that we have to have at least one naughty kid at all times. Boyd and Lucy know how to smile for the camera, just not when we want them to and Daisy is turning into miss contrary about most everything now. She also has a giant molar coming in this week and she has been really hard on us. Every picture of Daisy lately has been a quick back of the head or a crying face.

On the way down from the little trail we followed, we spotted a cool swing. That would be a great picture taking spot for other people. The kids all had to have a turn, especially Daisy- she screamed at us and didn't want Ken to hold on to her on that big swing.

Baby Eli was really good on our little adventure. We got lots of smiles from that big 3 month old! He even did some rolling tricks for us on the picnic table.

Lucy the Great Drawler

Lucy is turning into a little artist! I love this one of our family, she worked really hard on it and did a great job! She said, "I'm a great drawler!"

Cowgirl Princess

My Lucy just cracks me up! She wore aunt Jenna's hat all day and said she was a real Cowgirl Princess!

School Days

I'm pretty excited about having a couple kids in school this year. Lucy started preschool on Monday and Boyd started kindergarten on Tuesday. They both went to school today and it is so weird having 1 child at home for a while! Boyd was happy about his new school pants and he said, "I have pirate pants!" Cute kids! We went over to the park last night and they had such a fun time, there were a bunch of other kids and the weather was perfect!

Saturday!

We've had a busy and fun weekend! Yesterday afternoon we went to the Payson pool and hooray Daisy didn't scream the whole time- She clung to me like a monkey and she actually started enjoying the water just about when we were ready to leave. Oh well, it is still worth it to see Boyd and Lucy have a great time and even better when we have cousins come along to play! We had pizza after the pool, and we made ice cream drinks- one batch of orange (just like Jamba juice's Orange Dream), and one chocolate malt (Great grandpa Boyd's recipe). Then, we watched Iron Man together. Boyd called it something like "Aftron Man." What in the world? Good thing I've become a master in Boyd translation, he asked to watch it again today. We got to have our first sleepover here with cousin Owen- he was a little hesitant when his mom was leaving, but the cute boys decided to sleep in the same bed and that was the trick. I was so close to sneaking a picture, but really didn't want to risk waking them up, but they were super cute!

This afternoon we had a Digicert picnic with all of Ken's coworkers and families. It was pretty awesome. We had it at the same place where the Princess Festival takes place- it has a fun park, a castle, and a dwarf house, they also had inflatable slides and a dunk tank. Ken has the best work! The food was catered by something like "Smoked Apple" (not sure on the name) and "Coldstone" was there for dessert. Mmmmmmm! They had a balloon artist- Boyd got a lizard that looked more like an alligator, and Lucy got a pink dog. Lucy got her face painted, too! Digicert sure knows how to throw a party- everything we have been to with them has just been amazing! Boyd especially had a great time until the very end- he got stung by a bee again! He is such a tough guy, he just cried for a few minutes and then was ok. He kept saying it was such a "jerk bee!" I fully agree, I really don't know why bees get him, poor guy!

My big baby!

Daisy isn't trying to ride a trike is she? Oh no! She's a little to short to actually reach the pedals, but that doesn't stop her from trying real hard. Don't even think about helping her, either. Cuz she's a Big girl!
